  • how do i check the compatibility of converted files?

I’ve used MPEG streamclip to batch convert a large amount of MPEGs, and am happy with the quality of the conversion. They’re all now MOVs, but I’ve heard someone say that MOVs can still be unwieldy, and am worried they may not be 100% compatible with Final Cut Pro. Is there anyway I can check this?

The codec i used is HDV 1080i50

    Thanks

If quicktime can read the file fine then Final Cut Pro can read the file. When reading codecs final cut is very dependent on Quicktime.
