    Hello everyone,

I need to burn a TC of the Timeline onto the footage for directors puroposes of picking each clip he wants to be used. I have already captured the footage and placed it on a timeline………Now I need to find a way to burn TimeCode of the Timeline onto the footage. If anyone can help at all, that would be great .Thanks Bobby

Do you have any charcoal and lighter fluid? Nest your sequence and apply the Timecode Generator filter (Effects/Video Filters/Video/Timecode Generator). Render away. Play your timeline onto a DVD Recorder or create a DVD.

    Don’t get burned!

    One little caveat:

Is it the timeline code…. or is it the clip source codes… in the latter, you might want to use the “Time Code READER” filter, rather than the generator.

    Bobby,

You might want to take a look at Episode (www.flip4mac.com/episode1.htm). Save out your project to a QuickTime reference movie and apply the time code generator from Episode as you convert to whatever format you want (MPEG-2, H.264, WMV, etc.) You can easily set the size and location of the time code as well as the font and transparency. It is an excellent, quick solution.
