  • How Do I Animate A Feather Object?

Need help here… I have a made a feather as per this tut (https://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=574).

I have several of these feathers made and I want to animate them in a way that their roots are staying at one place and just tops are moving – like when a bird is opening its wings.

I have also set up the respective bone system with joint tool and the problem is that when I try ti Bind the rigging to the SweepNurbs (which includes the Feather Object as per tutorial), I cant – the Bind is grayed out in the menu.

After that first I made editable the feather object, and only after that the SweepNurbs object, as the result I got a polygon object (any other way to make this feather editable led to the disappearance of feathers). Now I can Bind the rigging to the new feather polygon but only the spline is animated and the feather object (which now has become a hair guide) does not move at all.

    So my question is:

Is there any way to animate the Feather like this one?
Is there any other way to make poly without making feathers disappear?
    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you in advance.
