How do I ADD spaces between clips en mass? Please assist.
Posted by Zephlar Nation on November 12, 2015 at 1:04 amI have over 250 clips I’m trying to render into a single file that includes 1 or 2 seconds of black space in between each clip. I downloaded Vegasaur and that doesn’t seem to have a tool that can create gaps in between clips.
Any ideas?

November 12, 2015 at 2:22 amA simple way to do this would be to create a generated black clip the length you want. Then cut, enable ripple edit, then paste/insert that clip at the event between each clip on the timeline. Click, paste, click, paste…
I do not know of any script that does that, but you could write one.

November 13, 2015 at 2:04 pmCan you walk me through it start to finish? I’m using Sony Vegas 12. After I drag my clips onto the timeline, what’s my next steps?
Sorry I don’t know what I’m missing here. No matter what I do I can’t seem to get that same window you’re showing.

1. Select events
2. Click Vegasaur toolbar icon and choose Editing > Quick Properties (Quick Properties window opens – find it, sometimes Vegas opens such windows next to others Vegas windows, so you have to drag it and resize as you need)3. Open Placement tab, set the properties as shown in the picture (see my first post)
4. Click Apply
