    Hi all-

I am using Illustrator CS2 and cannot figure out how to achieve a subtle gradient for my menu bar that has a slight fade around every side of each menu button. Please see an example here. https://videoenrichment.com/menubar.jpg

I want different colors but the same type of effect. I have been playing with the gradient tool but can’t make one that has the slight fade at all 4 angles (only either vertical or horizontal but not both)

    Can someone please help?

    Thanks
    Nicole

Draw your shape adn fill with a color. Thenuse object >> make gradient mesh. Select gradient mesh points with the hollow arrow tool, and you can change their color individually or reporition them.
