  How do I 16X9 enhance a letterboxed 2.40:1 image for widescreen TV playback?

  Just shot a movie on super 35mm. Cutting now with a 2.40:1 mask. Want to output a version that is 16:9 enhanced for playback on my widescreen TV. Assuming I have to vertically stretch the image. But by what percentage? And where in the program would I do this?
