  • How Convert .scc / .srt IMPORTED subs into Open subs?

    Hey there,

I have been going nuts trying to figure out how to stylize my IMPORTED subtitles into PP.
Sorry to keep stressing that these are imported subtitles but there is so much info out there how to manually do subtitles in PP and there is also some info on importing a .scc file into PP but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to convert either the .scc or the .srt into a format that PP will allow me to modify font, color and most importantly set the BG to transparent.

IF there is a better file type to import please let me know what type it is… I have tried so many (.sub, .stl, .txt, .cap, etc…) all with the similar results (well most don’t import at all but when they do I still can’t change the font or options on the text styling.

    Please advise.

You can ‘stylize’ your caption in the editor

There are a variety of export options in the freeware Aegisub for OSX.

I use it to convert the .srt files I make in Premiere into a format that works properly on YouTube and Vimeo.
