how come illustrator symbols won’t import into after effects???
i have an ai file with a few symbols in it and when i go to import my file into after effects to animate it says there’s an “error processing this PDF document.” what’s up with that? should i import it differently or does after effects just really dislike symbols?

Flatten transparency on symbols befor saving… then save as an AI file
