Looks easy. It’s just a bunch of column shapes with keyframed movements, sizes, and blend modes and then dirtied up with some flicker and touches of texture.

It looks like it may be using lens blur. A tell tale sign that it’s a composite is the top and bottom edges of these shapes, they blur out to a round end. This would either mean these objects are the same size or smaller than what a camera may capture… or they are the same height as a comp size.

I’m on the fence on if there is some actual photography or if it’s all a composite. The light/color fade around 1:30 doesn’t feel wholly natural, but the dirt/chips in the lens respond to light… but that could be procedural too.

    Agreed.

Instead of doing individual column movements, can you do something like the tracking movement, (at least i think its that), with text but applied to shapes?

That way the shapes move apart with the same degrees of separation but all at the same time?

    Thanks for your help.
