How can i remove a specific colour in the .psd to the movie?
Okay here is the deal, I’ve made a yellow ball with faded yellow in the edges. Around the ball it is white colour. I know how to import this .psd to adobe after effects but not how to animate it inside, with animate I mean move it around. Now here is the most imporent part: I don’t know how to remove the white from the .. layer? I only want the yellow to be visible in the movie. It is a effect from a game and i really need it.
I have searched the forums and tutorials for almost 2 days and decided to make a post. Can someone point me to a tutorials or point me in the right direction? Would be kind. Please.

Is the ball on it’s own layer in photoshop ? And does it have transparancy there ?
If not, you need to make an alpha-channel for the yellow ball.
Ypu can do this in After effects, but I would do it in Photoshop:
I’d suggest duplicating the blue channel and using that as an alpha, you might want to tweak the levels;
then once the yellow ball has it’s own layer, don’t forget to “remove white matting” from that layer.In After effects import your .psd as a composition, or import only the ball-layer.
Now you should have transparancy. -
Filip’s solution is better, but if the alpha layer is not availalbe in Photoshop, you could key it within AE by clicking on the layer and going to Effect>Keying>Luma Key. Set the key type to Key out brighter and adjust the threshold all the way up to 254. You can then adjust tolerance and feather to your liking.

Okay thanks, do you have some sort of tutorial for this? I am not so good in photoshop
