  • How can I randomly play just the first frame of each clip in the sequence?

Posted by Nigel Corroon on January 30, 2009 at 6:08 pm

About two years ago I found a tutorial on Creativecow that demonstrated how to create an amazing effect. The effect choose the first frame (customizable) of each clip in the sequence and then played them back randomly to create an amazing fast paced frenetic effect. The effect can be viewed at the end of the YouTube video clip below:

Can anyone please tell me how to do it as I have forgotten or perhaps there is an expression that will create the same effect for me.

    Cheers

Dan Ebberts apparantly has the answer to everything…I wish I would’ve known that 6 months ago. This expression should do the trick!

Hi Ryan – you’re a star! I will try this out as soon as I get an opportunity. It produces a very nice effect and would be so difficult and tedious to do it all manually. Thank you for doing this for me.
