(If this is an opacity effect LOL…)

Hi guys, his is my first post here on the forum. I’m editing a trailer and I came across this effect, I managed to figure out how it was partially done. The phantasmagoric opacity effect I can not figure out how to do, not at all.
    Can someone help me? Please?

I’m editing in Premiere Pro CS.

It looks like a combination of tracking animation (2 layers , one for each word, left one with right justification and the right one with left justification so movement will be towards the center; duplicate the setup and have the bottom layer still with the letters in the final position and the outer 2 or 3 letters masked out. The top layers should have tracking animated and a mask that cuts out the inner letters that are visible from the still bottom layers- this will allow you to create the settling in of the outer letters), opacity with animated mask and a lens distortion effect animated on top.

Thank you Richard. Yes, I know that. I think I did not explain myself well in my post, I’m editing the trailer in Premiere, but the title cards I’m already doing in After Effects.

    Hi guys o

Thank you so much for being the first to replay Ted.

    Really!

But how exactly do I animate the mask and the effect to get that vibe that the letters are being filled in a distorted way?
