May 20, 2012 at 2:31 pmIf qt sees it, AE or PP should see it. The files do have the extension, right?
Import the file into AE. Click on it. What does it say in about the file?

September 19, 2012 at 9:06 amSame problem. Black Magic Hyperdeck Studio generates MOV files using DNxHD codec. I need to edit the video using Premiere Pro CS5 / Windows Vista 64. The files play fine using QuickTime Player.
I downloaded from Avid and executed the file that’s supposed to install the codec. This seems to work fine.
When I try to import the files into Premiere, the error message is “Unsupported format or damaged file.”
I’ve also tried importing the files into After Effects. The error message is “File cannot be opened, it may be in an unsupported format.
I’ve combed through the Adobe and Avid forums. This seems to be a familiar problem. The suggestions either don’t work or are incomprehensible to me.

The presets only show up if you have QuickTime & DNxHD installed first.
First, lets see if it’s installed correctly:
Can you see DNxHD in QuickTime?Best,

September 3, 2013 at 11:16 pmIf you have it installed, the next step is to see if it’s seen via QuickTime in Premiere Pro/ Adobe After Effects/ AME.
I have a prebuilt preset that builds a QuickTime DNxHD 145 (1080) item.
It’s here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ezygn1ab0glc6u8/DNxHD%201080p24%20175%208%20bit%20RGB.epr.zipThis is for CS6 (or later.)
