How can I have the dvd go to a picture when stop is pressed
Posted by Jay Cutler on July 25, 2008 at 12:36 pmOn commercial dvds, when you press stop, it goes to a screen with a picture of the movie.
I was wondering, how do I do the same thing on the dvds I create?Jay Cutler replied 18 years, 1 month ago 3 Members · 4 Replies -

July 25, 2008 at 2:16 pmThis is called the Jacket Picture. The Encore manual should say if it supports this.

July 25, 2008 at 2:28 pmJacket pictures are not supported on all DVD players. My Sony supports it, but my Pioneer does not – go figure.
However, Encore does support it, if you add the jacket pictures and folder to the ROM content. Look online for a tutorial on how to add jacket pictures to a VIDEO_TS folder – you can adapt this for use in your Encore project (I’ve done it once before, but no links handy – sorry).

July 26, 2008 at 12:17 amThanks for the info, but now the problem is I made the Jacket_P folder and I put the images in it. Now when I push stop, whatever frame of the movie I am on, that is the image that shows up on the screen. The images that I put in the folder aren’t showing up.

July 26, 2008 at 2:37 amI finally got it to work. It was the software I was using to burn the dvd that was giving that problem. Once again, thanks a lot for the help.
