  • How can I deselect all Tracks?

Posted by Milton Hockman on December 22, 2006 at 5:55 am

    Hi,
I know that I can use the Shift Key and drag down through the Video and Audio tracks to deselect them all.

Is there a more simple way to deselect all Tracks? I know you can select all by ctrl+A but can you deselect all with a keyboard shortcut?

    any help would be appreciated.

You can map Edit/Deselect All Tracks to any available key, using the command palette.

There’s also “Cycle Picture/Sound” which in three taps of the button will deselect the tracks.

But CTRL+SHIFT+A is the most common and easiest.

How can “three taps” or pressing Ctrl+Shift+A be easier than simply pressing ONE button, which when mapped properly does the exact same thing? Hey, to each his own…
