How can I deinterlace stills taken from a Qtime?
Posted by Jon Wetterau on April 2, 2009 at 6:01 pmI’ve exported stills uncompressed but I don’t know how to use Qtime’s deinterlace function. I don’t have FinalCut or Photoshop. Can I do it with Qtime alone?

April 2, 2009 at 7:20 pmStill images are not interlaced so you do not need to deinterlace them.
that’s the correct answer but perhaps you are asking the wrong questions.bogiesan

April 3, 2009 at 10:03 pmDavid, that’s completely wrong, when you pull stills from video very often there are terrible interlacing lines in the stills, which can be cured with a video filter in Photoshop. So unless I’m missing something in this thread…
Have a wonderful day.

April 4, 2009 at 12:26 amThere’s all kinds of scan lines bleeding from one object in the image to the next, isn’t that an artifact of interlacing?
