How can I add a video track below all others

June 6, 2008 at 10:04 pmYou can’t, at least not in Avid. But what you can do is create another Video track (in Avid it’s Ctrl Y) then copy your existing V1 and above tracks to the clipboard (Alt C) Then just move them all up, V1-V2, V2-V3 etc and paste, overwriting your V1 track as you go.
Alternatively create a copy of your sequence, rename it accordingly and then overwrite your sequence with the copy, ensuring you leave V1 free.

Sure you can! Ctrl+Alt+Y . It will ask what track you want to add. Select 1. It will tell you that track already exists, do you want to Cancel or Insert. Choose Insert and all tracks move up one and you’ll have a new, blank V1.
