  • How can I add a glow on a face from an explosion?

I have a closeup of a face watching an explosion happen offscreen. I’ve already comp’d the explosion in her eyes but it’s missing that orange glow that would come across her face.

I can’t for the life of me think of a way to do this and make it look realistic.

Here’s a Vimeo link to the clip:

    Any ideas?

you are over thinking it. just use a orange solid with a glow,,mask and feather and set to add. it can be really simple

Ah I did the orange solid but it looked weird. The glow mask makes a lot of sense. Thanks I’ll try it out and let you know, thanks!
