    Hi guys,

As you may or may not already know, I am new to all of this. I’ve shot a music video on a Panasonic AJ-HDX900E and have cut it up into some sort of working form using FCP.

My client has asked me to make it look and feel like this:

Which is why I’ve come to you guys! Any suggestions on which filters to use etc? they’re really keen on the bright face look. They’ve also asked for more depth of field which i believe i can create the illusion of using the vinyette (check spelling!?!) filter in FCP.

I’m new to FCP and i’ve pretty much gobbled up my budget so effective, reletively quick solutions are preferred!

I hope you guys can help me as i’ve come to a bit of a halt!

no, it’s not quite THAT bad!

I was asked to edit last minute and it’s for a close friend (hence the low budget). I’ve cut bits before but never with FCP and i’m not familiar with filters. I do agree though pre-planning is always advised!

If anyone could suggest anything it would be much appreciated.

    cheers

    Jamie

Face Light, Soft Focus, Andy’s Region Blur, Vignette, maybe one of the Glow filters. Andy’s you have to download but the others you could have found by taking 20 minutes to look through the folders you’ve got in your Effects tab.

Cut a scene together and dupe it to a workspace timeline, and PLAY, PLAY, PLAY.
Every incremental adjustment makes it this way or that way towards something that might be cool.

I think you will need some White Diffusion filter. Nattress Film Effects or MagicBullet will help you a lot.
