    I have a canon 5d mark iii i and want to see live footages from camera to premiere timeline in my laptop. but dslr cameras doesnt have any firewire ports. how can i do that?
    Output ports from my camera are SDI , AV and hdmi.

    You need to get a capture device by Aja.com or Decklink.com. One with HDMI in and is compatible with your computer.

    Does the 5D have full resolution out of the HDMI port during recording?

    Thanks.. I want to capture live to laptop… has aja an external hardware for laptop?

    Yes…AJA and Decklink are external hardware. You’ll need that if you want to capture video from that camera to your computer. There is no direct connection.
