How can an entire menu bar item disappear?
I’m clinging onto FCP7 as long as I possibly can, but in the last week or so my entire “EDIT” menu has disappeared at some point, every time I open the application. It jumps from “File – Edit – View” to “File – View,” and it’s happening so erratically that I don’t know if it’s something I’m specifically doing, or it’s just happening at random, but it stays gone until I reboot. I did trash my preferences, but it’s made no difference. I’ve never heard of such a thing happening in ANY application. Has something like this ever happened to anyone, and did you fix it somehow? LOL! – I posted about this 2 years ago, thought it was me going mad, seems it only affects some systems. Finally traced it to when I used the drop down in the viewer to get a generator but getting a generator from the effects menu then it didn’t then happen. Since upgrading to 10.8.3 (I’m not going any further on my FCP7 system) it’s disappeared and not happened now for several months.
