    How best to Upgrade from 4.5 to Studio 2?

    I’m running FCP 4.5 on a G5 tower. I want to upgrade to Studio 2, since studio 3 won’t run on my G5.

    Is there a one-step upgrade out there that will let me go from 4.5 to Studio 2? Or do I have to go from 4.5 to Studio 1, then 1 to 2?

    Anybody know the precise model number of upgrade that I need to make the leap?

    If you can find it, you will need the FCS 2 upgrade from Final Cut Pro.

    Try on eBay. You might be able to get a student version of FCS2, which I wouldn’t ordinarily recommend, but in your case it makes sense.
