I’m trying to do a playout on an hour SD documentary, and it keeps freezing, stopping or going out of sync around the 16- 18 minute mark

I’ve got a Dual 2.7 Power PC with 6 gigs of ram and am using a firewire to a Sony deck.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

You’re most like dropping frames because:

    a) your hard drive is too full
    b) you need to do a “Mixdown” in the Sequence >> Render Only drop down menu
    c) “Full” is not checked in Sequence >> Render All before rendering.

Or d) your hard drives are too slow for the material that you’re using- FW400 for uncompressed, for example.
