    Hi,

I recently learned (a limited way) to to add your own hotkeys in AE – which has come in really useful.

One thing I’m not sure how to do, but that I’d love to work out, is to assign the ‘Grab & Move’ tool in the Comp. window to the ‘Press down on the Mouse wheel’ action.

This is standard in Silhouette Roto and it is SO USEFUL and intuitive! When I switch back to AE (from the Roto plug-in) the extra step of holding down the Spacebar with your other hand suddenly feels so clunky.
Always takes ages to retrain my brain. Hopefully, Adobe will one day include this simple but ever-so-useful shortcut into AE.

In the meantime, does anyone know how to assign that ‘Press down on the mouse wheel’ action to the ‘Grab Move’ tool in the Comp. window?

    Thanks in advance,

    ALEX
