    Hey guys:

im finalising my SAN solution for my studio, i know what im gonna get for storage and stuff but the host adaptor for the server seems kinda tricky.

I’ve selected the Atto Celerity FC-42ES 4Gb dual channel card for the Mac Pro’s which uses the 4X lane

The Server (Xserve) has 2 16X lanes, can that same atto work with the server or not a wise idea ?
And if i buy a Apple dual channel card, will that work? it just say PCI express required. and also says it will work with 4 or eight lane PCI slot. Does that (eight lane) mean 16x ? Just making sure.

The ATTO FC42ES is a great selection, a much better selection than the Apple card. It will work in any slot.
