HORRIBLE render times on fantastic machine
Guys, I need help ASAP.
I just got hired at a new job site, and I’m doing everything. Storyboards, 3D Modeling, 3D Animation, film editing, file management, etc.
My boss has a BEAST of a MAC. I do not work on MACs often, but it has EIGHT cores, 3ghz, and 13 gigs of ram
Again..
8x3ghz + 13g RAM
…I am in Premeire CS4 right now, doing everything*** in my power to reduce render times. I mean everything. Using H.264 to FLV to Quicktime/Youtube settings.. Sorenson, Cinpeac, Animation.. different settings, codecs, adjusting quality to LOW
..even killing ALL audio. What the hell is going on?
This apple is a MONSTER, it should be chewing through 5 minutes of video in less than 10 minutes. My render time won’t go under 45 minutes, and even when it does it blows up to over 1 hr.
I have deadlines, and again.. I am just trying to spit out a LOW QUALITY video to view realtime playback of graphics and footage.
Imported footage includes 2 video (Mp4 H.264, AAC bitrate 2160) and (MOV H264, AAC bitrate 5522).
Again, I have tried almost all conceivable codecs and settings. This HAS to be because it’s CS4? Or Premiere isn’t recognizing the cores? Maybe has to do with Scratch setup? I’ve optimized rendering for *performance, and then for *memory. Neither change the render times. Is it because it’s spitting it out to Adobe Media Encoder?
I am at a loss, guys. At a complete loss here. 5 Minutes of video at bottom of the barrel quality render settings DOES NOT TAKE AN HOUR TO DO.
I’m sure if i brought this home to my PC, using CS3, I’d knock this render out in 15 minutes TOPS.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP
