    Hi

I have been using a GoPro to shoot timelapse in a retail store which is being renovated.

The still frames seemed ok when looked at individually, but when I created video out of them, I have quite noticable banding. See a sample here…

I know this is probably caused by the fluoro lights in the store. I know there is no way to remove them completely, and that there is no simple solution/plug in/magic that can fix this problem.

I’m just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for things I might try in AE to reduce the banding?

    Cheers
    Chris

I can’t think of a way to do it in post BUT editorially, you may have to use this footage in a way you didn’t intent do initially – specifically, use it as a PiP (framed lots smaller); even with added noise, just to make the artefacts less distracting.

Sometimes if the cow won’t fit into the box, you’ll just have to make do with a piece of steak, to suit your needs *strange thing to say*.
