    Hey there!

I need to flip my video clip in AE CS4. But i created quite a complex mask on top of it.
When i use the flip effect out of the image utilities it just flips my video, but not the mask.
Is there any way in after effects to flip a mask?

    Cheers Stefan

Can’t you just make the X width of your layer -100 instead of 100?

Sorry … read to quickly the first time. I don’t recall if that will flip the mask with the layer, but if not maybe put guides on both sides of the mask and free transform it in the comp window snapping each side to the opposite guide. I don’t have AE open and only my fingers remember (not my brain) which key to hold to constrain proportions. That’ll work for a complex mask and, if it were a simple mask, you could just switch the left and right numbers in the mask shape window.

All this points to the fact that After Effects guys need to inout a parameter to transform masks paths.
With skew, flip, rotate and distort functions.
