  hooking up to a monitor without a dv deck?

  Firstly I must make apologies as I am not very technical and my english is not so good. I am wanting to hook up a G4 powerbook to a monitor so I can stream from FCP 4.5 to view in real time on a monitor. I do not have a dv deck to hook it up to and my power book is the same as when I bought it with no extra graphics card. Is it possible that I can run this through a Canopus box and into a monitor? Is this the best solution?
