    Heelo,

I am so new at Cinema 4d its sad really…

    Here we go
    1. After I model and animate an object how do I get my emmy award winning movie into a quicktime file or something after effects can recognize so that I can add some more cool stuff?

    Cinema 4d10.5
    AE CS3

The best way to do it is to install the AE plugin that came with Cinema. Copy it from your Maxon>Exchange Plugins folder to your AE plugins folder. Then, in the render settings>save tab, check the “compositing project file” box and choose AE in the dropdown. Click the Save button and enter a path/file name. That will save an *.aec file. Open that in AE and it will bring in your rendered footage, C4D camera, and if you choose, separate passes, lights, motion data, etc.

But I think your main question is, “how do I save a render!”? 🙂 All’s you have to do there is set up your options in render settings and then render to the picture viewer instead of to the editor.

………..You hit it on the head!…………

I am learning so bear with me … I modeled a 3d logo set my keyframes and animated it moving across the scene.. I thought I was on my way to greatness… Well I wanted to drop it into after effects where I feel allot more at home and throw down some sick mograph action…. Well I think its cool… but I go to render and it makes no sense yet… So I figured out the settings to render figured out the picture viewer hit render to quicktime and I only have one image..

    Two questions..

What is my best export from Cinema 4d to AE CS3 to allow for max creative additions in AECS3..

    Number 2

Why am I only getting one frame…

You rock and I thank you for your help!
