I was scrubbing through some video in the log and transfer window in final cut and I was startled to see some pretty large bright and dark lines periodically popping up during a few shots.

When I actually captured the video, the lines were not there.

Any idea what might cause these lines and why they wouldn’t transfer with the video?

*edit* Maybe I’m in the wrong forum, because I’m not seeing these lines when I view it in the camera either.

Probably a previewing bug in the log and transfer window. If it’s not in your captured footage or in the camera don’t sweat it…

I had similar defects on an old 150 I used to own. However, that’s what I saw in the playback, the log&transfer AND the transcoded footage. It was useless (although the audio was still good). Long story short, I ended sending the camera back to Panasonic and they said there was a problem with the mother board or something and replaced the whole camera. However, I lost 3 cards’ worth of footage.
