High Sierra not able to preview EX1r cam files
High Sierra OS
Neither will VLC read the EX1r cam files.
Files easily read on Macbook Pro OS 10.11.6
And BMD REsolve 15.Anyone else having issues with High Sierra reading EX1r files in preview?

Why do you need the OS to read them?
Could be changes in the OS if you’re referring to QuickLook
VLC is it’s own thing. Make sure it’s current. If it is and you can’t read it, report it to them.
If you’re editing in Resolve 15 and they’re working without issue you should be good to go. -

I’m actually in Europe investigating issues for my editor in India who just moved from PC/Windows world to a new iMacpro and High Sierra. I couldn’t figure out why he had a problem, but I’m on El Capitan 10.11.6 and all good.

QuickLook isn’t what it used to be and I suspect it’s development in AVFoundation / Core Media.
Otherwise there are plenty of apps that should work.
I used to own an EX1 so I may have to occasionally use those files but I just import into FCPX.
