December 3, 2007 at 6:12 amYes. AE 6.5 can import and manipulate HD footage. Keep in mind that AE is a compositing application and not an editor. You will drive yourself mad if you attempt to do any extensive editing in it….that’s what editing applications are for.

December 3, 2007 at 7:50 pmI am familiar with AE but this is my first time using HD.
I am not sure what the problem is…my footage has audio but no picture…just blank white. I’m running 6.5 pro on a PC. Do I need a plugin to enable HD?

December 4, 2007 at 12:23 amI don’t see a codec listed in the project window…it just says “Quicktime movie, 1920×1080, non-square (1.33:1). If I do need a HD Codec for AE 6.5, where are they available…preferably free?
