Back in the day I edited in final cut and all was good until the “updated” Final Cut X, so I moved to Vegas and then the same thing happened with the “updates” to Vegas over the years and it became to buggy, so off to Premiere Pro.
Well Deja vu….here we are with the latest “updates” with adobe and again getting buggy and slower with each new release. So, do I now move over to Resolve or just retire now!

Obvious solution…don’t update. Keep using what you have until you can’t use it anymore. I know a few editors who are STILL cutting with FCP 7. Others with Adobe CS6…

Having just made the jump from Pr to Resolve, I can say; Go for it! It’s a great option.

I think if you’re subscribed to CC, you can install older versions of Adobe software.
I’m one of the ones who’s still got FCP 6 and the CS3 Master Collection. And good old Quick Time Pro too ☺
But I’ve also got a CC subscription, thankfully.
