    i’m trying to get the effect of old vintage reel to reel film on some footage that i have. Does anyone know how to achieve this video effect?

    There are a lot of effects packages out there that offer these types of effects. They are very easy to use and can be customized easily. If you can’t afford one, there are lots of things that you can manipulate with adjusting the hue and saturation for the color effect part, the dust and scratches would probably need to be put on manually, and the strobe effect can be done manually or with a strobe effect.

    QuickTime Pro has some filters that will give you an old-time look.

    Download Clip number 2, place it over your footage and change the transfer mode to Multiply,
