  • Help with Outputting Multiple Digital Signals to Multiple Analogue CRT Monitors

    Hi Guys,

Been using this site for a while now and need to ask a question.

We’re shooting a music video where the band are made from CRT monitors with pre-recorded footage of them playing along to the song. So one band member might be made up of one monitor with a shot of his head and another with a shot of his guitar being played. We’re hoping to have up to 8 CRT monitors (with RCA imputs) playing simultaneously.

Because the ‘band’ have to play in sync to the song, we need to find a way to trigger all 8 (or as many as we can get) video layers at the same time (ideally from one program) to play on the different CRT monitors. Is there a way to do this?? What would be the hardware involved?

Our fallback at the moment is to have multiple computers each outputting one digital shot to one monitor through a DAC.

    Thanks in advance!
