help with making football highlights
I am new to Premiere and would like some help with creating a football highlight tape.
I have already cut up all the highlights I want, now I am trying to emphasize the player. In other words, I could use an arrow or a circle around the football player. I would like it to follow him for a couple of seconds then fade away. I have cut and held a frame and then imported an arrow gif and positioned it for a second while the frame was on hold. I would really like to be able to have a graphic follow the action, and be able to do it quickly since I have about 20 athletes to create this for. doing it the way I did took way way too much time.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

You really need some type of motion tracking for that, and After Effects will really be your best choice; if you are an independent editor and don’t have it yet, it might be a good time to add it to your creative arsenal, as well as some type of 3D application…
The only way to do that in Premiere is using motion on an image and you are talking almost frame by frame adjustments.

What you are basically doing is telling After Effect to track a player (it will have to be a part of the player that stays visible through the whole sequence but AE is pretty good at that), then assign your arrows, etc. to follow that tracking point.
