  • Help with how you license Mercalli V2 inside Sony Vegas

Can’t seem to figure this out. I have my license but can’t find where to enter the info to activate Mercalli V2 in Sony Vegas 9. I can open the plugin and set all the settings but I still have a red x on the output because it thinks the license hasn’t been activated.

Mercalli 2 now uses a serial number after purchase to
    license it.
During installation it should prompt you to enter the serial.

Thanks Steve, I appreciate the reply. I was afraid that the answer might be as you say because when I install there is no prompt for serial. I guess I will uninstall and try again. Any other suggestions?

Uninstall yes…get the latest update from their site….

Uninstalled, reinstalled. Doesn’t ask for serial! Extremely annoying. I will send an email to ProDad to see what they say.

Apparently the problem is that Mercalli has two different versions that are possible to download. The Demo and the Real Thing. I think I assumed that all you had to do was register the Demo but no you must download a different version. Seems weird to me.

No, its not weird, thats the way some companies
handle their software distributions for several reasons.

What other companies do it that way?
