  • Help with Blu-Ray rendering, etc…

    Hello,

I’m having an issue with burning Blu-Ray DVDs an effecient way.

Whenever I save a Blu-Ray file (i.e. Blu Ray 1920×1080 24p M2V) in Vegas and try to use it in DVD architect to author a Blu-Ray DVD, DVD architect has to re-render the entire file. For a typical wedding video that I’m doing that’s about 1 1/2 hours of video which takes nearly 24 hours to re-render (even on my quad core pc). Kind of ridiculous when I already rendered the file to be for Blu-Ray in Vegas using any of the Blu-Ray Video Stream presets under the Mpeg 2 (M2ts, M2V, etc…setting)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I would love to figure out how to speed up my workflow.

    Thank You.

Dan, you need to set your Blu-ray disc up in DVD Architect to match your footage. Then it won’t re-render anything. This includes matching the resolution and bitrate of the project. Go into your DVD Architect project properties (Alt+Enter) and check that the resolution is 1920×1080 and the bitrate is 25Mbps. I’ll bet the bitrate is set to 18MBps which is the default. This is probably why it’s being re-rendered.

    Thanks.

I can definitely see that being the problem. I know the resolution is set the same, but I doubt the bit rate is.

    I’ll let you know.

    Thank you.
