July 12, 2007 at 12:31 pmThank You for your help,
Blur and contrast attenuation do minimize the pulsating vibrating lines. Increasing the stroke of the thin lines as well as changing the speed of the flyby cam really do help to mask the limitations of NTSC video.
Best Wishes,

July 12, 2007 at 12:40 pmNot seeing what you’re seein, It’s hard to know.
Sometimes Large image files just can’t be panned over well in AE, alone. But I’d swear there was a plug-in or something that helps with this.
Also a lot of people here deal with this sort of thing on a regular basis, so if anyone knows an answer – please chime in. I rarely work with oversized images.
Also, search the forum here, because I know people have run into this problem. I once worked in a studio (this was a while ago) and no matter what we did, panning just looked terrible, so we took the original images and panned over them with a robotic camera.
However, if all else fails, and you can’t get your image to match the illustrator files, why not try the reverse, and slightly blur your illustrator layers.
How sharp do they need to be?

July 12, 2007 at 1:22 pmI can post a link once I’ve finished mastering to see the problem firsteye, but as far as sharpness is concerned here at the moment, the clients eyes want to feel as if they’re driving by life size musical notes with the letters of the musicians names attached to them. Increasing the stroke of the musical measures really does make a difference – hopefully musical purism won’t come into play – and adding reduce interlace flicker/blur to the individual illustrator musical measure layer make it very acceptable, but not razor sharp.
Thank You Aharon -
