Help! Strange field behaviour Vegas 6??
Anyone any ideas on this one? Vegas 6 in PAL. One one of our systems Canopus DV files come into Vegas 6 as ‘lower field’ order. The same files imported into a new Vegas 6 box come in as ‘upper field’. In Canopus Edius (on both boxes) all the files show up when captured as ‘lower field’. Capture with Edius on either box and all clips are defined as ‘lower field’. It’s just that for some weird reason the new V6 box sees these clips as ‘upper field’. The very same clip moved to the other Vegas box shows up as ‘lower field’. Both Vegas boxes have exactly the same ‘properties’ settings, PAL DV Widescreen which on the template has the field order defined as ‘lower field’. Another odd thing is if I move the Veg file and clips from the lower field V6 box and open it in the new V6 box the clips are defined as ‘lower field’. Import fresh clips into that Veg and the new imports go back to ‘upper field’. Got me going round in circles this one! Any pointers happily accepted!
