I’d use a layer style, probably Drop Shadow set to screen

If you right-click on the layer, in the menu, there’s an option for Layer Styles.

Would like to know if there is a single button way but I’ve had to do that using masks.

Most options dont give you the shape fall-off and at times I used Maya for trickier workflows e.g. animated stroke

Instead of thinking of it as a glow effect that is driven by the shape/line animation, think about it as a separate blurred shape animation that occurs in a matted-off area defined by the main shape/line animation.

Yep, I had some fun replicating the line animation.

If anyone wants the AEP just holler.
