HELP! No picture when i go into edit to tape
have my final FCP movies on an external drive connected to the front firewire 400 port of my dual 2ghz G5… My dsr-45 is connected to the back FW port. When i am playing through my timeline or viewer and have external video set to all frames i can see the footage perfectly on my deck…
The problem is the second i use edit to tape. It prerolls and as it goes into record all there is are black frames. I have made sure that in the A/V devices tab that i have unticked “Different for Edit to Tape” and have made sure my settings are set to Firewire…
Please help…. Any suggestions.

My only suggestion would be to either make sure you are in Editing mode not Mastering mode. If you are in Mastering mode, click on the Mastering Settings tab and check that you are not putting in a black leader.
