  • HELP! Need help with Premiere Pro and Encore…pics coming out blurry

I’m using Premiere Pro and Encore and to make a DVD out of home video and still pictures. I have the whole enchilada put together with music and various effects put on the still photos to make them spin in or out or fade as a transition between them. It all looks good until I render it and put it on the DVD. When I view it on the DVD some of the pics are blurry, some of the effects “bleed through” so to speak, so if the next effect is that the pic will flip over into the next pic, there will be a line down the middle of the pic where it is going to spin.

If anyone has any experience with a problem like this I would be eternally grateful for your wisdom as I am up against a deadline and have never experienced this type of problem.

    Thanks in advance!

One issue with Premiere is the Preference setting “Default scale to frame size” which causes larger pics to be rasterized in Media cache at 720 x 480. This leaves no room for any zoom without pixelating the images. Best to scale photos in Photoshop to something like 1200×900 before importing into PP and turn off the scale option.

Bleed thru is likely unsafe colors above 235 RGB. Desaturate those that do bleed.
