    hi i’m art student(Edinburgh) trying to creat simple flip-book style animation using around 30 JPEG images of myself, needs to be very fast and looped. i have just downloaded after efects but dont have a clue. i am a creative dyslexic ..
    my head is spinning… help

    You should use the CC page turn effect, it is on your after effects install disk.
    But you downloaded it hmmzz…

    To get your JPEG images to animate, make sure you have them all in order in a single folder alone. Then go into AE, File/Import/File. Check the box that says “image sequence” or “JPEG sequence” or something like that at the bottom left of the import window. Then find your folder and select any JPEG in it. Click import or open. After Effects will then create a file that has all your pictures in order as one frame each. You can drag that into the composition window and it should play.

    import the jpgs to footage as an image sequence
