HELP- M2V files freeze Encore 1.5
After 2 hours on the phone with Adobe Expert support- they could not fix my issue.
I am running Encore 1.5- and it freezes everytime I try to play or move an MPEG asset from the asset list to the timeline. To cut off some suggestions- the video file works fine with Encore 1.5 on another computer and all MPEG’s freeze this one.
My rig:
dual core Athlon
256 Nvidia Geforce 6800 GS
Windows Media Center 2006
2 GB RamWhat has been done so far:
1. MSCONFIG – stopped all non-essential processes and services
2. Updated video card
3. Updated Encore
4. Tried test AVI- same issue
5. Checked Codecs- work fine
6. Tried MPEG on other computers and other players- no issueThe Adobe folks finally just said they ran out of solutions- that I needed to reinstall Windows – which is not an option.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Where was this MPEG-2 created? Have you had success importing other assets from the same source? If so, maybe the MPEG file is somehow bad- try re-exporting the file to MPEG-2. If the problem persists, try exporting the clip as AVI, and see if Encore handles that.
