    HELP – Log and Capture quits instantly in FCP 5

    Hi there,

    I’m running FCPv5.0.4 and have been a happy user for years – starting with FCP 1.

    I recently upgraded my OS from 10.3.9 to 10.4.8

    Now FCP won’t recognize my camera connected via Firewire.

    Every time I start up it says it can’t find the device.

    Every time I try to open Log and Capture it quits instantly.

    Strangely enough IMovie sees the image from my camera perfectly and lets me control the camera.

    What is FCP 5 confused about?

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
