  • Help! Lines in my video?

Posted by Mendy855 on May 7, 2007 at 6:15 am

I have exhausted all the options i know of and cannot figure this out for the life of me. I am editing SD and shot on the DVX100 as squeezed and have imported into an animorphic timeline. For some reason whenever there is movement on the screen its as if the field lines in the video have been pulled apart. There is a ghosting that appears around the image durrring motion. My field dominance is set as lower, and Im not sure why this is doing this. Please if you have any suggestions let me know.

    Thanks

Are you watching this on an external monitor? What frame rate/pulldown pattern did you shoot? How did you capture?

It sounds to me like you don’t have an external video monior, and you’re seeing this on your computer display. Or perhaps you shot 24PA, and didn’t remove the pulldown?

So you don’t know what mode you shot in. It’s quite likely that you shot some footage in each mode.

You still don’t say how you’re monitoring. The 1st thing to do is monitor your footage properly. It’s entirely possible that there is no problem, but if you’re not monitoring your video properly you may think you have a problem where you don’t.

I am monitoring on my Computer but I have exported the footage and burned it to DVD and monitored it on a large screen and it still looks the same. I shot in 24p.
