  Help Layers changing position when grouped

  Hi there creative people! I have a little problem…

  I imported a layered JPEG image from Photoshop into Motion 3, each layer together made up a single image, My goal is to create a shatterd payne sequence…(you know single image shatters into a bajillion pieces, flys towards the camera)

  Ok so When trying to group some of the layers in motion, (so that i can add grouped effects to) the grouped layers alter their primary position (i.e appear dislodged from the whole image.)

  Is there a way i can group layers together without changing their position?

  I’ve tried holding the Cmd key when grouping (as suggested in the release notes) but that did not work.

  Would love to hear some ideas.
