  • Help Importing HVX 200 Footage into Final Cut Pro

Posted by Carly Lyn on April 5, 2007 at 10:55 pm

During production we transferred the files from the HVX 200 P2 Cards onto a Harddrive. Now I want to import the files from my harddriveinto my Final Cut Pro HD (4.5). Is this at all possible? Do I have to upgrade? I can’t seem to find info for how to do this. Any help (ASAP) would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you so much,
    SB

If I remember correctly, that’s right. You need FCP 5 to import. Hmmm… I haven’t used it, but P2 Genie software might convert it to quicktime movies. I’m not sure. You might look into it.

It doesn’t. All it does is automate the copying of footage from the cards to an external hard drive. VERY handy that way, but it doesn’t convert to QT.
